Happy Solstice!

I always enjoy the solstice. The days (in the northern hemisphere) have stopped shortening, you can certainly appreciate why it meant so much to our ancestors.

The last two weeks have seen some heavy snow and record breaking cold temperatures, but have given us the opportunity to take some 'seasonal' photographs.  We have put some together with a 'solstice song'! Click the link to view.

Thr travel disruption has meant that we have had a few late bookings from travellers who have had their flights cancelled. As things stand we are still able to accept a few more.

Such lovely images, esp. the rime. Is your dog a Brittany? Would have liked location ids.
We have deeper snow and our Newfoundland, Rebus, (named for Rankin's detective) loves it and the cold.

Phoebe is a Springer Spaniel.

The locations are mostly in the Wylye Valley near Warminster in Wiltshire, England. There are also some pictures of Salisbury Cathedral, which is not far away.
