Walking on Exmoor with Greg Witt

Today Ian had the great pleasure of introducing travel writer Greg Witt to Exmoor National Park. Greg is the author of the Rough Guide, Ultimate Adventures.

A walk around Allerford, Hurlestone Point, Bossington Hill, Selworthy Beacon and a drink at Periwinkle Cottage on Selworthy Green were enough to convince Greg that Exmoor was a worthwhile diversion on a busy schedule.

It's always a pleasure to introduce newcomers to Exmoor. It never fails to please.

It was the best of both worlds. Not only is Ian a great guide--quick to share fascinating history and background information--but Exmoor was the perfect choice for a great walking destination. One minute we're overlooking the coast with views across the Bristol Channel, then we're in a deep woodland. Charming villages and welcoming pubs and tearooms are near at hand. I'm already making plans to return next year.
