A substantial group gathered at Dean's Place Hotel in Alfriston, which nestles in the beautiful Cuckmere valley in Sussex.
The weather stayed dry, if not quite as bright as Cornwall and Pembrokeshire.
The walks were enjoyed by all, as was the food and hospitality. The walks, expertly led by Geoff, took in both the inland hills (such as Firle Beacon) as well as the classic coastal walk over the Seven Sisters.

We enjoyed both the walking and the company. It was an exellent way to spend New Year's Eve, pleasantly tired after a ten mile walk.
