Out and About on the Thames Path

A bright and breezy day looking at some stretches of the Thames Path and possible side walks.

The river is just beginning to wake up after the winter - primroses, violets, celendines.

Plenty of birdlife, not many boats.

Visited Kelmscott, Buscot and Tadpole Bridge as well as a walk around the source of the Thames and along the towpath of the Thames and Severn canal to the remote Tunnel House Inn (regrettably no electricity yesterday so no beer or food!) The pub is at the entrance of the fantastic Sapperton canal tunnel.

Also took the opportunity to call in at the Tearooms in idyllic Buscot and had a walk around Buscot Park (National Trust), visited the impressive high street in Cricklade-on-Thames, called in at the New Inn in Lechlade, The Trout at Tadpole Bridge and looked at the remote riverside hamlet of Hanington Wick.

A busy day - all those pubs and tearooms and no time for a drink!
