Early Spring - South Cotswolds

Coaley Long Barrow

Jacobs Lambs
We're looking out a new intinerary in the southern Cotswolds for our 'single centre self-guided holidays' and last weekend turned out to be a perfect weekend. Our walks took in Crickley Hill, Cooper's Hill (home of the famous Gloucestershire cheese rolling) and the Painswick valley on Saturday and the Sunday took us along the tranquil Duntisbourne and Woodchester valleys.

The pictures show Coaley Long Barrow, one of a number of visible prehistoric monuments in this part of the Cotswolds, and (just to prove that springtime is with us) some Jacobs lambs near Painswick Beacon.
