Just in case you didn't know you were on the Cotswold Way!

A bit of vernacular splendour on the approach to Haresfield Beacon
What a glorious walk we just completed. We have written it up for our 'Southern Cotswold' itinerary.
The walk started in Randwick (near Stroud) and followed the Cotswold Way National Trail along a whaleback ridge, through beautiful broad-leafed woodlands and over two fantastic hilltop vantage points to finish in scenic Painswick. Couldn't have picked a better day to do it. Violets, primroses and wood anemones were out in abundance. Even the odd early bluebell had opened although the main show, which promises to be memorable, is a few weeks away yet.
First sighting of Painswick from Scottsquar Hill
