Well, winter finally arrived with a vengeance. Certainly this was well forecasted and pretty well dealt with by the local authorities, the highways agency and even the public, who stayed off the roads (as requested) unless their journey was unavoidable.

Locally, thanks to the closure of all the local schools, the fields and hillsides were thronged by children of all ages (from 3 to 63) enjoying sledge rides and snowball fights!

Snow - you either love it or you hate it, for an awful lot of people I suspect that it's a bit of both!
